Ahmed al-Kaabi is an Underwater Photographer, he has begun his journey in 2011 as an amateur photographer. Meanwhile, he found out that he has the means to become a professional photographer. Since then, he acquired decent experience and participated in several contests, and won a couple of rewards to become recognized by respected associations and professionals. He is actively seeking new experiences to bring for the viewers astonishing shots from the land and the seas.
he began to portray people’s lives, faces, and sometimes nature but continued to portray people’s lives and faces until 2016, changing everything afterward and moving to the other mysterious world that lies underwater.
in 2016, he had his first experience underwater at a depth of 10 meters where he saw astonishing marine life-like corals, fishes, and some small marine organisms that have only a length of only 1 cm and less. He was entirely stunned and fascinated by how these small organisms live and struggle for survival. he decided to bring this beautiful world to viewers to see.
Since the beginning of his journey in underwater photography, he decided to specialize in macro photography. So he traveled to several countries to capture marine organisms in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, the Red Sea of Sharm El-Sheikh, Oman, Thailand, and Malaysia. A side story of the journey, he visited the Bajaus clan (Sea Nomads) and documented their life underwater, and captured an amazing shot that you can find in the Black and White collection.
